The City Of Southampton Orchestra is one of the leading non-professional orchestras in the south of England, performing a wide variety of interesting and challenging works from across the orchestral repertoire. We have been established for over thirty years and perform five concerts each year, including one concert designed specifically to introduce children to orchestral music.
Titanic Centenary Concert
The City Of Southampton Orchestra will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sailing of the Titanic from Southampton with a very special concert. Join us for a performance of Vaughan Williams' evocative Sea Symphony at the Queen Elizabeth Terminal, overlooking the berth that Titanic sailed from.
Current Vacancies
The orchestra has a continuing need for string players, particularly violinists and cellists. We welcome applications on all instruments, however. Please see joining our orchestra for more details.
